Our History

Friends of Cyrus was founded in 2013 by Kamelia Kameli — the parent of an adult child with autism who was acutely aware of the institutional improvements needed to offer true support  to developmentally disabled individuals and communities. Today, Friends of Cyrus provides services to children and adults across a variety of settings.

Friends of Cyrus opened their first group home and day habilitation program in Burlington County through the division of developmental disabilities. Since then, the organization has opened ten adult group homes, a thriving day habilitation center, and maintains in-home services for children and adults throughout New Jersey. With the addition of its brand new ABA clinic, Friends of Cyrus serves persons with developmental disabilities from 18 months old into adulthood.
