In-Home Supports Newsletter: Friends at Home – August 2021

FoC is back with the next issue of our In-Home Supports Newsletter! In case you missed our first issue, “Friends at Home” is a story series that seeks to shine a spotlight on the amazing relationships fostered between our clients, family, and staff. In this issue, we speak to the parent of one of our clients about the relationship her son has developed with his Direct Support Staff.

Finding the right support staff for your loved one can sometimes feel like an insurmountable task. So much goes into the relationship between an individual and their caregiver; after all, you as a parent or guardian are bringing them into your home and making them a part of your family.

Here at Friends of Cyrus, we strive to find the perfect Direct Support Professional for each one of our clients. When Matthew was in need of support, Friends of Cyrus paired him with a caregiver named Ali – and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

As long as we have Ali at home with us, I know that Matthew is going to get the support he needs. He’s one of the best support staff Matthew has ever had.”

Marguerite Walsh, Parent

Thank you so much for your dedication to caregiving, Ali! You truly represent what it means to be a successful and impactful Direct Support Professional. Friends of Cyrus is lucky to have you as part of our family.
