Kamelia Kameli, M.A., LNHA
Founder & CEO
Kamelia has been involved in the healthcare industry for more than fifteen years. She has led the business development projects of programs for children with disabilities, specialty nursing home units, medical adult day care, partial hospital programs and foreign nursing placements. She has extensive experience in developing fundraising campaigns, grant writing as well as community and political outreach.
Kamelia holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling. She is also a Certified Assisted Living Administrator and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Additionally, she is a Certified PCT Trainer (Personal Control and Defensive Techniques.) Kamelia also has an adult son with Autism.

Husam E. Abdallah
Mr. Husam “Sam” E. Abdallah serves as Friends of Cyrus’ Executive Director, bringing with him a lifelong devotion to service and a wealth of experience in the fields of medical and mental healthcare. Mr. Abdallah’s devotion to healthcare services is confirmed by his professional background, which includes direct care service, mental health education, crisis management, disaster response, and executive level management of state-run and privately owned disability service providers.
Prior to joining the Friends of Cyrus Executive Team, he served in various leadership positions within the Division of Developmental Disabilities and Department of Human Services, including Assistant Division Director of State Developmental Centers and Chief Executive Officer of two New Jersey State-run Developmental Centers. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Delaware Psychiatric Center. He continues to assist in the behavioral health field by serving as a Certified Mental Health Screener to assist individuals in need of psychiatric emergency assistance.
Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Abdallah has served on Governor Richard Codey’s Mental Health Task Force Disaster Preparedness Work Group, was an active Faculty Member of Fairleigh Dickinson University in their School of Administrative Science, and was invited by the United Nations’ International Resource Consortium to present on Adolescents, Family Dynamics, and Mental Illness.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sandip Patel is responsible for financial planning and driving decisions that promote organizational growth. Through a deep understanding and analysis of financial and operating metrics, Mr. Patel leads strategic planning efforts for capital allocation at the functional and organizational level. Mr. Patel has over 14 years of extensive financial and managerial experience to draw upon, utilizing plan development, scalable strategies, and the construction of financial systems to facilitate the growth of our agency.
Prior to joining Friends of Cyrus, Mr. Patel served in a number of leadership positions at firms such as Lehman Brothers’ Global Real Estate Group, Situs, and the Real Estate Finance Group at UBS Investment Bank. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in Financial Management make him an incredible asset to the Friends of Cyrus Executive Team.
