Summer Self-Care for Caregivers

Friends of Cyrus II is adamant in making sure all of those who provide care are also taking the necessary steps to better themselves as well! Please enjoy and utilize these self-care tips!

Hey Caregivers!

We are introducing a new segment to our Newsletters where we give out a few self-care tips for Caregivers. We understand that being a caregiver in any way can be trying or one may put their own needs to the side. We are here to remind you to take care of yourselves too so that you may provide the best quality care for those you love!

• Be aware of signs of high stress levels. These can come in many different forms such as anxiety, little or no interest in typically preferred activities, and low energy.

• Make sure to take rest periods. Rest is essential to being at your best in order to care for others.

• Allow others to help. We understand that this can be difficult. We believe we can do it all ourselves or maybe we don’t want to burden anyone else. However, if others offer help, take it. Getting help does not mean we are unable to do the task.
